On the occasion of the publication in French of
"LE BATEAU" (Editions Albin Michel), NAM LE presents
"THE BOAT", a collection of stories that take you across the globe and herald the arrival of a remarkable new writer. The boat was awarded more than 20 international literary prizes.
Nam Le was born in Vietnam, and raised in Australia. Currently the fiction editor of the Harvard Review, he divides his time between Australia and the United States.
Michiko Kakutani wrote in the New York Times:
"M.Le not only writes with authority and poise rare even among longtime authors, but he also demonstrates an intuitive, gut-level ability to convey the phychological conflicts people experience when they find their own hopes and ambitions slamming against familial expectations or the brute facts of history... A singular masterpiece".
